I focus on research questions spanning the fields of ecophysiology, disease ecology, sexual selection, and evolution. I am particularly interested in understanding the causes of variation in ornament expression and disease response, and how these two key traits are related within and among individuals and populations. I use a combination of field, lab, and bioinformatic techniques to explore these questions.
